Arabic Make-up [mac-kee-arge]

This round robin is entitled,
'Now I know why they Mention on the Wedding Invitation, No Children Allowed'
In addition to it being a bit over the top with the photoshop, it's difficult to imagine anyone not being invited to an Arabic Wedding (esp. children).

It's the lip liner I find most strange.

Well...that is called expressing yourself!!!! Reminds me more of a body art than make-up. Also it's not that easy to do...

And!!! Last photo - these eyelashes!!! That must have been some MEGA-MaxFactor lash extension mascara...!

Lovely post:))

That is reaaaally over the top! I never used lipliner in my life, but I saw them use it a lot in Jordan. And it usually was darker than the lipstick, which I found looked strange.

Pic 1 reminded me of one of my favourite quotes "Where lipstick is concerned, the important thing is not color, but to accept God's final word on where your lips end." (by Jerry Sinfield)

But that said extreme make-up is fun - very Marie-Claire or Biba (if you are old enough to remember the 1970's)

Hello,

I used your first pic to give an idea of what I looked like after having my make-up done by an Arabic artist. I'm from Canada and your photo pretty much shows what I looked like LoL

I'll link back to your Blog in the caption.

Thanks!!

This is a perverse distortion of Arabic makeup and beauty, these photo's are unrealistic and avant garde. Arabic woman are amongst the most beautiful women in the world and this is an inaccurate portrayal of makeup found within the middle east. If you wish to correctly portray this type of makeup use this link as an instructional vid, and for future reference do your h.w. before you decide to post something as ridiculous as you just did.
